The publications do not only focus on Belgium, but also include publications from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Czechoslovakia and the United States.

The topics of the 69 photos in this collection include : Wehrmacht soldiers in Antwerp ; parades of collaborating organisations such as youth movements (Nationaal-Socialistisch Jeugd Vlaanderen (NSJV), Hitler Youth…) ; the evacuation of German troops on 3 and 4 September 1944, using all types of transportation ; victims of the bombardment on Mortsel-Oude God arriving in Antwerp ; arrival of members of the Belgian resistance and allied troops in Gemeentestraat ; the pillage of shops and the destruction of street signs ; the forced transfer of captured Belgian collaborators and German soldiers to the Antwerp Zoo ; the hanging of a doll resembling Hitler ; photos of mister H. Goossens' chocolate shop before and after the V1 bombardment. Mister Goossens added comments to 31 photos.

This collection consists of over 1,100 testimonies (over 1,200 recordings) conducted by Johannes Blum, researcher and interviewer at Les Compagnons de la Mémoire. Among those interviewed are Jewish camp survivors, Jewish and non-Jewish resistance fighters, political prisoners, hidden children, hidden adults, hostages, refugees, survivors of the Rwandan genocide, Spanish Civil War volunteers, anti-fascists and children of members of these groups of witnesses. Most of the witnesses lived in Belgium during and post-war. Johannes Blum also compiled a research file for every testimony. These files contain copies of documents, newspaper clippings, photos of the witness, (scans of) historical photos, written testimonies, publications and obituaries.

This collection contains numerous editions of underground press and post-war press edited by armed partisan groups, trade unions and the Belgian Communist Party, section Mechelen-Willebroek, collected by Georgette José Hofman. Among the compiled titles are : De Strijd, De Vrijheidsklok, De Eendracht, Radio Moskou, De Propagandist, Persdienst, De Boer and De Rode Vaan. The collection also contains several photocopies of post-war documents regarding the resistance activities of Georgette José Hofman and her husband Valentijn Vereecken.

This collection contains three issues of « La Voix Internationale de la Résistance » ; two photos of the liberation of Bergen-Belsen ; seven photos of tombstones of Jewish resistance fighters who were killed in action or executed and were buried at the Tir National (National shooting range) in Brussels ; 74 photos and photonegatives depicting the armed Mouvement national belge (MNB) liberating Antwerp, protecting the harbour and undertaking military exercises ; a Sten machine gun and a hand grenade used by Alexandre Gourary while guarding the port of Antwerp ; a jacket worn by Alexandre Gourary as a member of the MNB ; twenty-seven documents including several post-war membership cards of the MNB, certificates proving Alexandre Gourary’s involvement in underground press, post-war correspondence between major Wilhelm von Hahn on the one hand and Elisabeth Trainin and Arthur Kohn on the other discussing Von Hahn’s anti-Nazi actions, Alexandre Gourary’s work permit for the retirement home Scheut in Anderlecht, and post-war documents of the Fédération Nationale des Anciens Combattants et Résistants Juifs de Belgique.

In this diary Mozes Isaak (Maurice) Sand recounts daily life as a forced labourer in an Organisation Todt camp in France (August-October 1942), as a refugee in France (winter 1942) and as a member of the French resistance (1943-1944). The notes include detailed reports on the treatment of Jews in the French camps, Mozes Isaak Sand’s return to Belgium in 1942, his personal life and international politics.
