Isaak Singer was born in Chrzanow, Poland. He and his wife Rosalie Rosenzweig lived in Berlin. Isaak left Germany for Belgium in December 1938 : the Gestapo was looking for him and he feared internment in a concentration camp. Rosalie Rosenzweig followed her husband a few weeks later and arrived in Belgium in January 1939. Initially they settled in Antwerp, but after their expulsion to the Limburg province the family moved to Brussels in 1941. There they were apprehended and they were deported from the Dossin barracks via transport XX. Both Isaak Singer and Rosalie Rosenzweig perished.
